Give yourself and your friends the gift of yoga and reflective writing at this idyllic all- inclusive, yoga retreat center. Throughout the week, variations on three practices— breath, movement, and reflective writing—will help you discover what supports you most, what relaxes you most effectively, what helps you focus, and what energizes you. Combined in ways that resonate with that child still in you, these practices take you back to the wonder, enjoyment and delight in wandering through our every day.

After practices you can take a dip in the pool, relax in the sun, infrared sauna or jacuzzi, get a massage, explore over 300 acres of land with paths through pine and cork oaks, visit area towns, Lisbon, and historical sites, or head to Lagoa de Albufeira where freshwater and beaches meet the Atlantic. You won’t believe Lisbon is only 30 minutes away and your worries will fade even further.

What’s Included?

Located in a nature reserve, Casa na Ferraria has been in the family for over a century. The air is filled with the perfume of eucalyptus trees and the

meticulously renovated houses stand as nature a testament to their rich Portuguese architectural heritage, and the family’s commitment to

regeneration of the land and culture.

Our six-night package includes:

● Gorgeous accommodations for six nights, in surroundings that ease you into and support your slower pace of life (ok, and yes, there is Wifi);

● Delicious organic gourmet meals to suit vegan, vegetarian, or omnivore diets, plus teas and fruits;

● Two gentle yoga practices that include therapeutic movement, breathing and/or meditation experiences each day... morning and (optional) evening;

● Dedicated time for reflective writing practices connect your mind and body (pens and paper included) ;

● All yoga mats and props for the large indoor studio or outdoor platform;

● Comfortable bedding (twin or large Euorpean double), toiletries, pool towels;

● A half-day trip to Lagoa de Albufeira;

● Group departure shuttle from a prearranged place and time in Lisbon on

September 21st;

● Transportation to the Lisbon airport the morning of September 27th;

All rooms are ensuite and can be arranged as twins or as a large double ( European queen).

Final balance for all participants is due by MAY 20th, 2025.

Any final payments not received by 5/20/2025 cancels the reservation and forfeits the deposit; the room will be allocated to those on the waitlist or put back on sale.

THREE Early Bird Discounts Offers

Reserve-My-Room Discount: Pay your $750 deposit by January 31st 2025 and receive $100 dollars off each person’s final balance (After your reserve-my-room discount is applied the total for two people/room is $3250 each; for one person/room, $3400.
Pay-Final_Balance Discount: Pay your final balance by May 20th, 2025 and receive an additional $75 off each person’s final balance.
Entire-Fee-Discount: Instead of a deposit, pay your entire fee to register and receive $200 off each person’s total (i.e., cost would be two people/room: $3150 each; one person/room, $3300). Offer to reserve your place with the entire fee paid upfront good through February 15, 2025.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED

● Airfare from/to your home city (Fly into Lisbon, about thirty minutes from Casas na Ferraria);

● Travel insurance;

● Airport transportation outside of scheduled dates and times;

● Additional meals outside of those included in your reservation at Casas na Ferraria;

● Optional activities (bike rentals, boat trips or additional excursions you book);

● Any gratuities for the venue staff you wish to give;

● Other personal or travel expenses you may incur.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event you need to cancel your trip, all money paid towards your remaining balance will be refunded, minus your deposit, if the cancellation is made before May 20th, 2025. Past this date, we are not required to offer any refund or credit; any refund or credit will be dependent on the sole discretion of Jeffrey Shoaf and the circumstances surrounding the trip. In certain cases, he may permit the transfer of your trip to someone else.

No partial refunds or credits will be given to participants who arrive late to the retreat or depart early. Remember travel insurance is strongly suggested for your financial protection as we cannot be responsible for transportation failures and emergencies. In the event that the facilitators need to cancel the event, your deposit and any other payments made will be refunded in full.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
AND FLIGHTS

When booking your flights, we strongly recommend you plan your arrival time in Lisbon for at least one day ahead to adjust to the time zone and to ensure that weather and plane delays don’t keep you from catching the arranged shuttle on September 21st. If you miss the arranged shuttle, you will be given instructions for hiring your own transportation to the retreat site.

Some of you will want to travel through Portugal prior to the retreat. Arrange your travel so you are in Lisbon in time to meet the shuttle to Casa na Ferraria at a prearranged place on September 21. We will provide more guidance on shuttles to Casa na Ferraria in August.

Check-out at Casa na Ferraria is 10:00 AM on Saturday, Sept 27th—no exceptions. Please plan your departure flights accordingly, accounting for, at minimum, 2.5 hours for travel to the airport (half hour) and time for check in (two hours prior to your flight). So if you book a 7:00 AM flight out of Lisbon, your transport to the airport would leave Casa na Ferraria at 4:30 AM. . .On the other hand.... you can continue sightseeing in Lisbon, Porto, the Douro Valley, Sintra, the south coast or anywhere else in this beautiful country!

If you are traveling in Europe after the retreat, you can be dropped off at the Lisbon airport and continue your travels from there.
